“ I really enjoy Broad Nosh Bagels. They're not my favorite in the city but a very solid, good bagel on the UWS. Service is always quick and casual and they have really good specials. My go to is the nova salmon special with cucumber, red onion, and capers. ”

I would not recommend eating on the way to your niece's baptism, for instance. Still, it was good enough to be worth the 30 minute wait. “ First bagel experience since moving to UWS and it was great! The shop has over 15 bagels and smears to choose from and nothing was sold out. We waited in line and a worker took our order while we waited. My wife got the everything bagel with vegetable scallion smear $5.50 and I got the everything bagel Sausage Egg Cheese and Sausage bagel for $9. Delicious tasting breakfast bagel sandwich but a bit expensive for what it is. ”

“ Great bagels here. I had the broad nosh special on an egg everything bagel. The bagel was crispy on the outside without being dry, and just the right amount of chewy. The sandwich is nice and hearty with cream cheese, a fried egg, avocado, and greens. At just under $10, it was a solid choice for a quick lunch. I'll be back some other time to try the other varieties of bagels and spreads. ”

“ Bakin is the name. Bagels are his game. Soft, warm, and fresh, with 20 options for cream cheese and 10 for fish, at 4:30pm on a Sunday, when most other joints would be out of everything or closed. Constant stream of happy customers at an unusual time of day, some obviously hardcore regulars. Wife and I just stumbled in after a long bike ride and left very satisfied! ”

“ Broad Nosh Bagels has been in regular rotation since late 2020 / early 2021, when it opened a location at Broadway near W. 86th. We realized only recently that some food reviewer types hold this place in as high esteem as we do. And for good reason! Broad Nosh serves warm, quality bagels fresh from the oven all day long. (I've gotten warm ones at 4 p.m.!) The crusts are perfect, delightfully chewy, made in the traditional style (boiled and baked). The innards are a little softer than Tal's, but have enough substance to stand up to a heavy application of schmear if that's what you're into. Or chopped liver and cucumber. Or lox with all the fixin's. Or.... Bagels are larger than traditional (but are thankfully smaller than the size of a baby's head, unlike Absolute's). There is usually a discernible hole. Everything bagels come with only the tops seasoned, which I consider a ding... but they are generously applied on top and quite delicious. If you're not a hidebound traditionalist, cheddar jalapeno bagels pack a real punch. And they have all sorts of interesting cream cheeses, including a bacon and scallion concoction (suggested flavor name: Kashrut Rebellion), and a birthday cake cream cheese with sprinkles (looks nasty, but it's effective kid bait). The more we go to Broad Nosh, the more they start closing the gap on Tal's -- especially when you throw in the friendly, helpful staff, the wonderful lentil soup in winter, and the baked-on-site bagels that almost always seem to be fresh from the oven. p.s. An everything bagel eaten more than 12 hours after purchase was still fresh enough that it didn't need toasting. Wow. ”

“ There's indoor and outdoor seating and even a few power sockets. The bagels are amazing! I love Nosh bagels for their soft and chewy insides and light crispy outer layer. It's fluffy and not dense. The everything and blueberry bagels are my favorite bc they put plenty pf stuff on and inside them. You won't be disappointed w the bagels. ”
